Top 8 Reasons To Take a Vacation

I takes a lot to pick up and change your routine and find a place to do so--a place of calming restorative relaxation. It seems worth it but so many forfeit many opportunities to do so. Instead of reflecting on why that is, I'll tell you why you maybe should be taking a vacation.
  • It's non-committal. Vacations are only vacations because they are literally a way of vacating your normal four walls. It's a break, not a commitment, except maybe monetarily.
  • If you need a vacation, it implies the work you've been putting in has supplied the means and you can afford that monetary commitment vacations put on you.
  • There's so much in this world. A new spot, even for a day, can enrich and enlighten you and your world, broadening your view and increasing your territory. Give while you're gone and take something from the experience home!
  • Elaborating on that last statement, a new spot brings a new perspective. Perspective and perception are pretty key in life. Crossing the street can help you to see the sun in a new light and to notice a hill or a tree that you'd never noticed. What do you think crossing the border would do? Why not go somewhere new and do something new? Don't worry; it's all under the same sky. Explore. Open your eyes. Take pictures!
  • Everybody needs a traveling story! Whether by foot, plane, car, bus, train or boat, everybody needs a travel story and can benefit from traveling lessons. Learning how to pack and how much to pack can help you understand how much to keep on your plate in other aspects and learning how to eat on the road can help you to balance your diet overall. You never know but you can't go and not learn some valuable lesson. Also, the stops along the way and people you meet can be amazing. Memories!
  • Once you get there, it's fun, adventure and experience! Experience life in a new way! A hobby that you can't usually give time to, like mini-golf or rock climbing...or drawing...can be a regular activity on vacation.
  • When you get back, you'll see who missed you...that's obvious but besides that and most importantly, you're able to re-evaluate all of your relationships, especially with those you missed most.
  • All of that calming restorative relaxation will have you in tip-top shape upon your re-arrival home. You may resume your work.
